United Airways Holdings Inc UAL on Friday mentioned that it could cease flying out and in of New York’s John F. Kennedy Worldwide Airport by the tip of October. United restarted flights out of the airport in 2021 after a five-year hole.

Earlier within the pandemic, United had provided service at JFK by taking unused slots awarded to different airways. Nevertheless, with journey demand again on the rise, these airways have reclaimed these slots and are resuming their use. 

United mentioned that it has near 100 workers figuring out of JFK, and they’re being moved to close by airports. Newark Liberty Worldwide Airport is a United hub.

In a press release, the FAA mentioned that it’s devoted to increasing New York Metropolis airports and airspace capability to accommodate extra flights.

The Chicago-based airline operates 69% of the flights from Newark and is the dominant service on the New Jersey airport.
